What better way to end the inaugural TBR conference than with a gigantic party full of writers eager to dance, carouse, and enjoy general merriment?

Hobnob with local literati as you enjoy delicious Cuban food, amazing cocktails and mocktails, killer dancing music, and a jazz trio.

And of course, our writerly party will have lots of writerly frivolity including:

Literary Confessions! Every writer keeps secrets: books you’ve claimed to read but are still sitting in your to-be-read pile, rejections you’re pining over, Google search histories that would make others fear for your well-being. Well, secret no more! We’ve convinced authors Theresa Okokon, Grace Talusan, Jean Hanff Korelitz, and Stephen McCauley to ‘fess up and each will read a literary secret of their own. After, add your own literary secret to our Wall of Confessions.

Literary Tarot Readings! Should my main character move to Iowa or Kazakhstan? Would I be better off changing my historical novel into dystopian science fiction? Would anyone be interested in my memoir of the time I adopted a street rat? When will my book win a Pulitzer? A coven of Oraclists will be on hand reading Tarot cards to answer your burning literary questions.

A Party-Wide Short Story! When a room is filled with writers, they should write! Add a sentence or two to the short story we’ll create as a community.

Whether you attended the conference or not, join us for a night of fun and literary surprises!
