Rebecca Rodd
Rebecca Rodd is an Associate Agent at Levine Greenberg Rostan Literary Agency where she began in 2020. She represents both fiction and nonfiction writers covering all age groups. She is most interested in grounded, speculative stories, page-turning contemporary romance, non-linear storytelling, and elevated writing across the board. As a graduate of Spelman College and a former librarian, Rebecca is always looking to amplify underrepresented voices.
Rebecca is looking for:
Anything set on an HBCU campus
A devourable romcom or straightforward romance with elevated writing
Grounded, speculative fiction
Genre blending
Magical realism
Psychological horror
Complex relationships (mother/daughter, sisters, friendships, marriages, etc.)
Books about adoption
An unreliable or unsuspecting narrator
Fiction meets Food Network
Books set in places often viewed through a tourist lens but written by natives (e.g. Hawai'i, Puerto Rico)
She is not looking for:
Historical fiction
Straight fantasy
Abuse/trauma or death of children
Body horror
Books lacking diversity
Musician or writer protagonists
Examples of books Rebecca currently represents:
Arya Khanna’s Bollywood Moment by Arushi Avachat
Rani Deshpande Takes the Wheel by Arushi Avachat
Anna-Jane and the Endless Summer by Paige Classey
